On May 6, 2025, local time, the site of the railway construction project in western Algeria witnessed a historic moment - a delegation composed of the president of GCB Company, and engineering experts jointly observed the practical operation of the Flash-butt Welder With Rail-road Vehicle developed by Aigre on the African continent.
At the edge of the Sahara Desert at an altitude of 1,200 meters, the Aigre’s welder has the adaptability to a wide temperature range from -20°C to 50°C, meeting the seamless welding requirements of high-speed railway rails with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, ensuring the smoothness and safety of the tracks. Its dual-purpose design flexibly adapts to construction in multiple scenarios; the fully automated process throughout improves efficiency while reducing labor costs. The president stated that the Aigre’s welder has broken the technical barriers of African welding technology, using professional equipment to assist railway construction, promoting the upgrade of regional transportation, and witnessing the hardcore strength of "Made in China with Intelligence".
This on-site observation marks that the cooperation between China and Algeria in the field of rail transit has entered a new stage. As the welding sparks bloom in the Sahara Desert, Aigre is using innovative equipment as a pen to write a new chapter of win-win cooperation between China and Africa .
